Temporary Administrative Assistant
(Maternity Leave Coverage)
We’re looking for an individual to train in the Administrative Assistant role to fill in during an upcoming maternity leave. This role is temporary.
The Administrative Assistant’s role is to support the ministry effectiveness of our church. The ideal candidate has experience serving in an administrative role for a multi faceted organization. Because this position interfaces often with the church staff and the larger church body, a successful candidate must have a highly engaging and friendly personality.

Process expense reimbursement requests
Manage bank accounts
Church Wide Administration
Serve as receptionist screening and routing of incoming calls and visitors to the Church; warmly greeting persons with a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude; providing pertinent and appropriate information to callers and/or visitors
Prepare and produce weekly church bulletins and event signs
Maintain Church Calendar; including scheduling of ministry meetings/events and posting events on church website calendar, social media
Send out weekly Vine email
Monitor and maintain office supplies
Make order/run errands as needed to keep the church stocked of needed supplies
Check and distribute incoming mail
Attend ministry events as necessary
Attend all Staff meetings
Advertise church events
Website, phone app, social media, email. etc.
Process contact card and send out visitor letters
Oversee church management software (PCO)
Keen sense of organization.
Empathetic, caring telephone skills.
A working knowledge of standard office equipment (copiers, phone, computer, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
A growing Christian faith and character.
A commitment to the mission of the church.
Basic computer skills.
$15.00hr., hours TBD
